"Everyone is hot in there own way. All this judgemental crap about looks is why there is so much trouble in the world. If your genuine and a decent person then that is what should count. Haveing a small waist and big tits or haveing a body full of steriods doesnt make you a nice person." "Hot" is also how you feel, moreso in my opinion. I've let myself go, I've not been looking after myself physically which yes, does impact how you feel mentally. I feel lousy, deflated and right at this point I know I could be quite snappy. I'm not sure I know of anyone with a snappy attitude that's hot. Troubled perhaps, an arsehole perhaps.... not hot. So yes, the pandemic has definitely impacted my "hotness"

Let’s not forget that physical attraction plays a part in actually wanting to have sex with someone too. Personality is important, of course but people are attracted to different things, it’s not shallow to find physical characteristics attractive.

To me it’s about a feeling within you not an outward appearance, you don’t have to have model looks to be ‘hot’. Someone whose head space and mental health is right where they need it to be can give them a ‘glow’ which is visible and vice versa.

" It’s ironic that you’re attaching value statements to how people look but complain how judgement of appearance is what’s wrong with the world. Attraction takes many forms, as do people’s bodies, we all find beauty in different things, so perhaps you shouldn’t be so fast to dismiss other people’s feelings. It’s deeply hypocritical to claim the moral high ground just so you can dismiss people other than yourself. Truth be told; it’s lack of respect that is really why there’s so much trouble in the world

Are gymnasts and athletes shallow and fake? I thought they were dedicated not shallow and fake. These people we cheer for and admire when they're doing it for the country. Oh, but if someone shows themselves that dedication for whatever reason it makes them shallow and fake. Exercise is medically proven to improve your mental health. It just does, it releases the good stuff round your brain. Not everyone who goes to the gym, looks after their body, has a small waist and big tits etc is vain, fake or shallow.

"I'm gonna throw another angle on it, but again, back to the "feel" side. Part of me feeling hot is feeling confident. I'm confident in my values and morals, but I'm not confident in the values and morals of others. Remember that whole being deflated thing I mentioned earlier. It's interlinked. You made a judgment on the who they, their values etc are based on how they look.

Hmmm, I can kind of understand this. There are people who are wired/nurtured/conditioned into thinking they only have time for themselves and the confidence that goes with it once they've completed their other tasks. Now these tasks can go from tiny to huge. Their focus goes on work, family, house, chores that need doing and keeping everyone else happy. Once they've finally got all that lot done "Woohoo, right, let's find me" They found themselves and were relaxed enough to start appreciating themselves and all they've achieved. Their "success" at building the life they have adds to their confidence which in turn fuels them feeling "hot" Pandemic. Well fuck. Back to square one. Some will have lost jobs and all that, feeling like they're having to start from the beginning again and do all that rebuilding and taking care of everyone else bla bla bla and after another decade they might be someone close to where they were 14 months ago. I dunno if I conveyed the very well.

Is it really that dramatic though? A year is a long time. Maybe not to someone who has already had a lot of experiences in life but people in their 20s/30s might see it differently. Personally this has set me back years in many areas; relationships, career, finances. I do genuinely feel like I'm wasting my best years (so far).

After trying to establish my career for ages it all got knocked down and I'm overall in a much worse position than I was at the start of 2020. I understand the other side of it as well where people who haven't been impacted as much maybe have gotten tired of hearing people moan about it. But this situation is difficult for everyone and people all have different ways of handling it. For some, social media is their only outlet. So I do think a bit of empathy would go a long way.

"Or were you hot years along time ago, or maybe you were never hot at all ? Imagine being the hottest you’ve ever been and being on lockdown, what a fucker. " You know how they cyrogenically froze Walt Disney's head? Well I did that with my "hotness" at the start of lockdown 1. I foolishly defrosted it slightly just before lockdown2 but once I realized I was a bit premature I popped it back in the liquid nitrogen/vodka preservative bath, with only slight frost damage. Once Lockdown3 is over I will thaw my hotness out and ta da! Peak hotness restored

"Kind of as, at the beginning of last year I was feeling really good and excited about future meets. But I have now lost my "everything" to stinky cancer and doubt any hotness will return after treatment & surgery Hugs x

"I mean I feel like I have aha " We could have another 20 years of lockdown and you'd probably still come out alright with peak hotness intact. That was a rather clumsy compliment.
