Best ever track intro

Leeds

Ok so driving home from work today with the radio on, the track Chaka Khan I feel for you came on. Well WOW I had forgot how good the intro to this track was....it made my ride home happier.

So what do you think is the best ever track intro? I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thank you.

Roses by Outkast. That tinkling jazz piano. Nobody is expecting ot to turn into a thumping soul pop song, but it's the perfect intro for it.

Also kudos for using the word poo in a gloval hit record.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

When Shadows Fall, by Touchstone has a fantastic intro. Starts of with gentle piano before becoming more orchestral and then a quiet tumble moment before it really kicks off.

It is quite a long intro, at 3:42 long, with the total song length being 10 minutes. I've seen these live in York and London before they split and were fantastic live.

Again, will he offer me his hunger?

King's Cross: Pet Shop Boys.

The instrumental bit that paints the picture of the busy station. Thumping heartbeat, trains firing up, taxis beeping as they change over passengers, as a sense of hurry-up-it's-nearly-too-late fills the room.

All this just before Neil opens up with "The man at the back of the queue, was sent: to feel a smack of firm government".

That's an intro.

right now, this very minute. I would say Keziah Jones- Million miles from home.

however World Party and Freak Power can always be relied on for a good intro.

However I think Beethovens 5th would probably win in a global poll
