One song you like by an artist or group who you just cannot stand.

Is there one song by a singer or group that you like however everything else of theirs that you have heard you hate.

I like “Every breathe you take” by the Police but i cannot stand anything else of theirs. That horrible whiney voice and that stupid name of Sting, plus he’s a pretentious twat.

I’m going to stick U2 into this. I really like Beautiful Day. But I just cannot stand any of their other songs and Bono is definitely up there with Sting for me!

Turn back time - Aqua

They made ridiculous songs in the 90s but they did this song for the film Sliding doors and I love it

There and to the left a bit

A few named already but the following two had me buying the albums of both artists, on the strength of these tracks and I hated them completely other than those:

Two Princes - The Spin Doctors

Good Tradition - Tanita Tikaram

And one other that I didn't buy the album...but don't like anything else of theirs I've heard:

Paranoid - Black Sabbath

I want to like Tom Waits, but most of the time listening to him is like listening to nails on a blackboard.

The one exception is Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis.

I don't know why that one song works for me, but it does.

This One's From the Heart, with Crystal Gayle? Hated it. I like the Crystal Gayle bits well enough, but as soon as Waits opens his mouth it makes me clench my jaw so hard I risk cracking teeth.
