"I use one for 2 mins after every run. I think it was an e*ay purchase for about £10. Really good for calf work, you can roll it under your feet to prevent plantar injuries. I have a very hard knobbly one naturally you can get softer ones. " That’s what I need it for, after runs, my legs feel fucked cause I’ve been running for a year without doing any foam rolling. Just to clarify, I haven’t been running for a year non stop

"You can buy cheap or good. If you want good then look at trigger point grid They hurt like hell if there is fascial tightness and it will take a couple of weeks of daily use for that pain to dissipate, when it it’s not hurting you should keep using as the maintenance is good for the body They aren’t so much doing anything with the muscle but are breaking down the adhesions between the muscle and the fascia that surrounds it All in all good Ps don’t roll your ITB just use a s massage ball at the origin and insertion. Anything else hurt for no benefit " Thanks for the advice

They're literally just a hard ball, anything similar will work. Obviously the smaller the ball, the greater the pressure will be on a smaller area of the body though. LvM

" I’m 47 and started running last year, I’m lucky my legs haven’t fallen off, with my lack of recovery." I feel your pain! You'll naturally gravitate to a distance and pace that feels comfortable. The trick is to mix that up in your sessions and cross train. Do you squat and have a leg day in the gym?

I’ve been told running is too hard not to do everything 100%, so I basically I just run which is probably 90% of what I should do, I need to start doing the rest.
