Being a chef I had to do it years ago for the first time and I was thinking fuck off. But I tried some and got a taste for it.

If it weren't for my dad I wouldn't have either.

I'm not even sure he adds sugar!

He is very old school. I think sugar was a luxury when he was a child.

My grandad was Scottish. He made his porridge with water, not milk, and added salt to it. He had a mug of cold milk, and when he got a spoonful of porridge he would dip it in the milk.

I make mine with milk and sweeten with honey!

Dad's the same made with water..pinch salt but puts cold milk on top when cooked.

No. I remember being hungover at uni and made my friend made me some porridge and unbeknown to me put salt in it. I was very quickly and forcefully sick. So it's a definite no from me.
