I've ballooned the last few months.

My confidence has taken a knock even though I laugh about it. I looked in the mirror a few nights ago and didn't see me, I saw the me from years ago who was in an abusive relationship (last time I was this big) and it felt like I was back there again.

I've not been comfort eating like I did back then, just lack of movement, I leave the house a maximum of once a week and that's to pop to the shop which is less than 500m away.

I know full well I stand no chance of getting into my work uniform if I don't do something pretty drastic before it's time to return to work.

So, as of today I'm gonna start moving again.

Long walks or running five mornings a week plus thighs and bums workout three times a week and a strict diet (which is killing me as I love cake and crisps lol ) and yes I’ve suffered from mental health issues keeps my mind strong

I'm trying to do something everyday, just to help me have a routine while I'm off work ( and counteract winter flab!)

Primarily doing weights, I was running 3x a week aswell, however my running buddy has had to stop and I've had 2 week's off due to foot/ankle injuries.

Been walking a lot listening to audio books so I still get some air.

Had my first cycle of the year yesterday!

I'm doing it for a couple of reasons

- I feel better about myself, have more energy and my libido soars.

- Because I'm tired of my weight being an easy target for the odd bully. Women shouldn't tear each other down on appearance but they do because of their own insecurities. So I figure if that's sorted than I can have a silent f you.

I put on a lot of weight during the first lockdown that stayed with me for the rest of the year.

I started exercising regularly again on Feb 1st and am doing great, exercising 6 times a week. Feel motivated and on track to get to my target weight/size by this summer.

Been trying to keep in shape since lockdown 3.

It's hard though, got a hairline fracture from going from trail running to road running mid January.

So no running, and no bike, no pools for low impact and no weights.

Massively overhauled my diet to account for lower exercise rates.

Started doing pad boxing and body weight conditioning 4x a week to just try and keep some fitness and strength, not to mention stop myself from getting depressed.

I started to try and shift quite a bit of weight in lockdown 1 and was doing quite well and lost 35lbs - then Christmas happened.

I completely lost the plot and can't get back on it.

I'm pretty active I cycle and walk around 6 - 9 miles a day.

But my food intake is excessive - not forgetting booze.

I weighed myself today and have put on 5lbs

I still have 40lbs to go.

But life happens so I'm starting again on Monday- back to MyFitnessPal logging everything and weighing food - it's the only way that works.

Maybe do a 16 /8 fast as well - just to stop me visiting the fridge every 2 mins in the evening
