...there’s always an alternative, like either the Canon or Nikon which both fall into the best cameras for professionals category.

Indeed! you can have the shittiest camera in the world, but can still set up the shot and frame it.. For that you need an exceptional eye...that's what I'd pay for... Not all the gear:no idea (even worse if they don't realise they are talentless lol)

Depends what you want it for. I use a Canon 6d, for hobby and work photography and have no complaints. Using decent lenses is also important. For body and lens I'd say buy the best you can afford, but at the same time price isn't everything. Pointless having a camera that's too complicated and just using it in Auto mode, or one that's too big and heavy so it gets left at home.

Knowing basics like how to frame a shot are just as important, as well as a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of your camera so you can play to them.

Cannot go wrong with a high end Canon or Nikon camera, be it SLR or DSLR.

In past, I’ve used four brands incl. Olympus, Minolta and if I had to choose one, I would have to say my fav. is the Canon camera (mostly because the Canon lenses are significantly cheaper for the same quality than Nikon).

Now I’ve none and use my iphone. LoL
