Advice to get back into "it"

Evening everyone, so we've all heard in the UK about lockdown being eased in just a shortish while, but what advice could people give to people on-site and people like myself, who weren't too active before but we're getting by, but after a year or so without any sort of intimacy, what could we do to get ourselves back out there and feeling confident again to meet others?

Dating sites and others seem to be unable to be a great place to meet others as friends, flirtationships aren't there, meets are out of the question, I see many others have their confidence knocked due to the past year.

Any advice? All is greatly appreciated x

Look out for social events. Flirting in person is easier.

I feel the same, had just built the confidence up to maybe meet for a coffee after being on here a year, then it all happened. One good thing though it’s allowed me to filter n block some major idiots n with that the ones that had messaged trying to meet up with all this happening so I see that as a bonus as I might not have found out what idiots they were till I’d spent time n effort chatting to them.

I’ve just come to the conclusion I’m gonna be forever single now

Same. But: if you're there in person, there's a chance of something happening. You might click, it might lead to a bedroom. Worst case, you just chat to a few people at the first few events, you become known, trusted, then have more chance of being invited to join in later.

On here you're just another profile.

Agree socials and club events

We'd recommend Swingfest, literally acts and socialising, with upstairs open for play (hopefully). End of August, so fingers crossed.

Sure there's plenty of other events at clubs once we're allowed

I’ve never been to a club, the thought of going by myself is too daunting

Maybe team up with another female and agree to buddy up for the evening ... Maybe separate for an hour when you feel more confident and then meet back in the bar for solidarity/make sure you get to your car /hotel safely

Must admit I've been to a club once, is was okay but very intimidating when you don't know many (if anyone) there, which was unfortunate! I've had a few socials prior to lockdown and even before last year but to no luck there, online events are a thing and I'm looking to try and get more involved there but we'll have to see!
