I know tartan is from scottish clans and the pattern/colours told you which But few in UK/Scotland know one tartan from another.

In term of the symbolism of it, I think it symbolizes strengths, hardiness and freedoms so in the mind it says 'that's a wild one' & presents a challenge to attempt concur (male & female perceptions).

A geometric pattern of various quadrilaterals with contrasting colours?

Which also looks good as a short, short skirt.

Technically not the case. Tartan has only been representative of clans and such for the last couple of hundred years. That’s marketing for you.

Recently traced some of my Scottish roots (combined with some Cherokee), maybe that`s why I fancy The Sturg.

Craigellachi is effectively my home village. Traced the tartan and a few military ancestors.

I should learn how to brew whiskey. that`s with an "e".
