Babe. We all have things that can knock our confidence ... its part of being human. You can't always see it, but everyone has something.

Love yourself. Cos if you can't love yourself how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?

Mine's only "visible" because of my wheelchair. I look able bodied to the eye but I have nerve damage in my pelvis from pregnancy and so I have weakened muscles on the left side with loss of sensation plus some loss of sensation in the genitals too. Walking/standing are difficult and painful and I have a tendency to fall over

Seriously (the kick ass bit)?! I usually feel a fraud next to my FWB who is an amputee due to a motorbike accident.

"What happened to your leg?"

Him - had a motorcycle accident, was touch and go but lost my leg, now have an epic robo-leg

Me - I was pregnant

No, no, I was genuinely curious! Most people just look at me like when I try to explain. Missing legs are way easier to explain (sharks, crocodiles, motorcycles - you get the idea )

I've been type 1 for 32 years but I'd never class it as a disability, just a condition thats never stopped me from doing anything...
