Had this chat today. Probably got till 2031 and go back home to some sunshine and live simply in a house I inherited.

Will live of some investments until my pension kicks in.

My Dad drummed it into me at an early age to plan ahead. I had a pension at 19.

Never.

But I do feel it’s genuinely time I considered retirement a number of things.

It’s a good point for self reflection at the moment with the world edging closer to moving back into hectic life again.

I think if I make it to that point I might go travelling, like a young person but old...

I have had an excellent time spending every penny I've earned in the past though

You could but insurance just costs more so traveling when young is cheaper and lots of older people don't like the heat.

But I'm with you Retirement ASAP for me.

Do I add age 42 is the key sorry OP if you are going to retire at 67 you have not done half you working life yet on the plus side you still have time to build a pension what everway you decide.
