Would love to find a local woman who could teach me how to properly apply the finishing touches.

Defo watch YouTube. There are loads of tutorials you can choose from. I like full on looks so watch people like nikki tutorials or James Charles etc. They do sometimes do softer looks though.

Then it's really down to practice practice practice.

Definitely agree with YouTube tutorials, it's where I learnt half of my skills. Brianna fox is one of my go tos, she does glam and natural tutorials

It doesn't have to be mega expensive. I love revolution makeup available at superdrug. They have some great inexpensive pallettes and foundations with great shade ranges.

Honestly it's not, I mostly use high street stuff, once you've found a good foundation and powder you're sorted, I use a lot of revolution products for day to day, but have some high end eyeshadows etc for more glam stuff

The main thing is finding the right base colour for you, it's a bit sucky at the minute as you can't try the testers but trial and error will get you there

I am quite dark skinned so I think finding the right foundation is the start. Wish I could show my face so you can give further advice x

Most foundations have quite a good range now from very fair to dark skin x

It's difficult in lockdown now as you can't rest product for shade matching. Il makiage is all over digital media as the wonder foundation. You go a quiz on line and they find the perfect match or your money back. I've not used it though so can't comment on how good it is.

Make sure you have a good skincare regime , makeup goes on better with skin that’s well looked after, in my opinion x
