...when i was younger

i wish my mum had sat me down and showed me how to do my hair nice and my make up

been getting ready to go out and tried to curl my hard but it just looks a mess and got no time to change it!!

i used to laugh at my sister spending time in her room practicing her hair and make up while i went out climbing trees and catching fish in the brook!!

so to all you mums (and dads) with daughters....dont let them be who they want to be, force them to learn how to do their hair nice and their make up because when they grow up and oin a swingers site they and want to look sexy they will not be able to fall back on their tree climbing skills!!! (i never had skills at that either, i fell out and fractured my arm )

Nothing wrong with being a tomboy.

I used to leave my dolls with my mum and go and climb trees.

And because of it I had so many accidents. But I live to tell the tale and can still be 'girlie' when I want to be now!

(I think a few guys on here can vouch for that, lol)

When the zombies come you will be happy as fuck you can climb trees. Lipstick and powder puff doesn't impress zombies and they cant climb trees!

it's never to late to practice and perfect those skills.

plenty of youtube vidz for example with advice from professionals on how to rescue badly curled hair / makeup disasters..ect maybe instead of being a moan you could do something constructive and watch em'.

I have always been very girly even as a child. My mother wanted a girl for a long time and so when I came along eventually when she was 39 she dressed me up like a doll.

I have 2 brothers but I wasn't allowed to climb trees or play in mud and I found that I didn't want to either.

I haven't really changed that much. I always wear dresses or skirts, I like lovely clothes and shoes and lace and satin and diamantes.

Though there is a part of me which does like leather and fetish style clothing. I would never wear sweatshirts, football or rugby shirts or trainers for casual wear, its just not me.

So I can honestly say that at 44 years of age I have never climbed a tree

I used to play football for a local team until i grew boobs, loved climbing trees, loved anything the lads used to love, even climbing up ropes over the local canal....all is not lost Evie

My sister was a tom boy still is really, she did everything a boy would, i wasnt really a girly sort of half way. We used to pee in the mud and make mud castles, dens, fishing and rolling in the stream. But i didnt want to play football or anything though we did play cricket regularly properly yet have never been able to stand watching it. Used to fight like boys. Never scratched or pulled her but i could through a mean right hook

I have seen them, some are really good and they teach you how to copy the styles of famous stars too

I was never a girly girl, still not one at my old age.

I learnt how to do my make up via attending a free class and sat as a practice model for other students.

As for my hair, I have accepted long ago that I cannot do much else except to keep it neat and cut well.

For clothes etc. I do not follow fashion, and wear what suits me in colour and shapes.

Happy the way I am, not God's gift, however not a female Quasamodo either.

i had my lush long hair all chopped off because all i did was tie it back and had no proper clue how to style it for a night out.

secretly would have loved to have it in a spiral perm.. but would have no idea how to maintain it.

make up is more my thing.. when i can be bothered.

Never been a girlie girl, and doubt I ever will be! I'm like Bambi in heels, and I have two hair styles - straightened or tied back. I'm not too bad with make up, but can only be arsed with it on a night out (which my skin is probably glad of as caking it on every day can't be good for it). When I have had my make up done by 'professionals' I always end up looking like a drag queen because they always put too much on me...think they try to do the 'norm' and it just isn't me. I'm happy with the way I am though, I think being girlie can take way too much time and effort and I'm just too lazy for it! x

I was never a girly girl either, still not lol. I have a large barrel hot brush and it is my best friend, easy to use and puts a curl in my hair just nicely. Also mascara, a nice lipstick and a tiny bit of blush are all you need. Bet you look great anyway

I wish I cared about how I look and did the dusting, hoovering, washing up as I went along rather wait to the place looked like a council landfill. Saved me so much grief from my mother,ex, girlfriends indeed the female sex in general.

But now I can justify it all by I all the energy I save by not doing that, thank you green movement you've finally justified my total slobbishness. I'm doing it for the planet.

I wear a little make up when i go out, i hate the "caked on" feeling, rarely where eyeshadow unless its naturals, tinted moisturizer, mascara, little blusher and lipstick. Ive always been the same, never where makeup day to day, unless im going somewhere special. Ive always attracted(or they just accept it) guys that dont like much makeup which is a good thing. My hair is short, when it was longer my goddaughter would have to come round and do it if i wanted it curled.
