My students are too quiet in lessons and just use the chat. It's really hard to drive a PPT, share documents, check their participation on external sites AND monitor the bloody chat. Just talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh dear I hate that too but I'm on the other side, I'm a student. And its only me who constantly talks. I might be annoying everyone atthis stage, but I need to feel I'm interacting with humans and not with bots during the lectures. I hope we don't get used to this type of education

Don't know how you classify it. But Friday got "dumped" by someone I've been seeing for 5 months now, it really meant something to me (I'm quite a closed and reserved person, so for me to go for it, is a big thing) and I thought it was the real thing.

But after a couple months of on/off messing me about I got the whole "I'm not ready for a relationship" + "just want to be friends thing"

So yeah, First week back properly solo and reminiscing about everything and adjusting!

I think its the new norm for a lot of teaching, less buildings to maintain etc think of the cost savings, dont worry about the actually education levels though
