How can you ask us ageing metalheads to makes such a distinction? They are both equally as good.

At least in my cd collection they are

Zeppelin's catalogue is almost flawless, as much as I like the Sabs, they didnt make as many classic albums, and suffered from line up changes. Zep are probably one of the 5 most influential bands British Music has produced (imo)

Led Zep!!! Absolute classic and in a different league to Sabbath, who were good at what they did, but were really just a loud noise band!

The Sabbs, Godfathers of all real metal. there albums are just as orignal unique and influential today as ever and stil lsound great. Led Zep cool, but hey blues has been done to death really lets face it.

Led Zep were a class act, a little weird at times but quite a few of their songs will go down in history.. I actually preferred Black Sabbath when Dio fronted them.. there was some raw power there especially Heaven and Hell..

What about Deep Purple ? the mother of some great acts to follow like Gillan, Whitesnake, Rainbow...

Long Live Rock And Roll

Check out the band 'Heaven and Hell' brought out an album recently, basically Black Sabbath with Ronnie James but had to have a name change because of Sharon.
