Am I weird?

Everyone keeps complaining to me about how horny they are and how lockdown is such a struggle, and how desperate they are to have sex again.

Meanwhile, my sex drive has completely died. Can't remember the last time I was horny, and right now I don't really care if I never have sex again.

Does anyone else feel like this, or am I just odd?!

I don't think it's odd. It's a stressful time and I've known other people before who's sex drive shuts down when not sexually active. To be honest mine does a bit and then when I have it again it goes into overdrive.

Not weird at all, I’ve gone through various phases since last year. Right now I don’t feel sexy at all and wouldn’t know what to do with someone if they threw themselves at me. Guess I’m hanging around here still trying to kick start my own libido if that makes sense?

It's a well known symptom of depression and general mental ill health but also a self preservation tactic. No point in your body craving sex and social contact during lockdown, so rather than fighting against yourself it shuts itself down a little.

It's normal for a person sex drive to drop or increase when they are stressed, as a couple our sex drive has gone up and down over the past year, at the moment it's high for both of us, but for me (male half) it's got very low.
