Do the majority of people here block profile views?

Just wondering before anyone asks why its a bad thing or not?

Or does it matter?

Happy weekend everyone

Not sure what you mean by block profile views, do you mean when people view in stealth mode? If so then I think the majority of women and quite a lot of couples do.

As for whether it’s a bad thing, I think it’s just a tool and not really bad or good or anything.

somewhere, someplace

If you're talking about 'stealth mode' then yes I use it, purely to try and stop unwanted messages, just because I view a profile doesn't mean I want to engage with them (I'm just nosey half the time) some take it that I do and it saves an awkward conversation when they message

I'm always in stealth otherwise I'd just come across as a stalker.

Yes that's exactly what I ment I just didn't know how to phrase it.

I think its a good way of seeing someone who's looking but not interested myself.

Only if some one is acting like a dick. But not a certain type. Everyone’s welcome to chat. But I guess some people do if they don’t want to be viewed by certain groups of people.

I like being nosy with no intent on meeting anyone. But a lot of people take a look as a sign of interest and start messaging. Stealth always.

I don't search blokes anyway used to be a bit curious if I knew anyone from my hometown but its irrelevant.

It doesn't show up each time you visit a profile though... does it? If it was 5 times a day etc?

Yup, every time. Also, if you switch stealth mode on to look, then switch it off again after, you’ll show up as if you’d never switched it on.

It’s on “Account” then “privacy settings”, and it’s the first one on the page.

I’m sure we’ve all looked like doughnuts (or stalkers) before figuring it out!

I keep mine on permanently now, avoids all the “saw you looking” messages.

Always use stealth, as during the week I finish work at 2am, so often check out the forums and site in general. It’s bad enough how many randy guys message me at that time for a meet. So it would be a lot worse if they knew I’d looked at their profiles as well.

Also these are the guys who’s profiles state they’re straight and will ‘fill in later’ their profile text

Always stealth - otherwise it invites 'I saw you look at me ' messages when all you were doing was trying to have a closer look at their avatar that you couldn't quite work out.

Which you should never do - as you often need eye bleach after

It's on par with Googling things you read on the forum - never do it

I love it, some make me belly laugh some make me horny and some make me cringe.

Mixed emotions

As a bloke I don't get the I saw you looking thing.

Eating up time and making friends what its all about.
