"genuinely fantastic programme. brilliant. made even better by the fact its mainly filmed in the area of Manchester where I drink, and the house scenes about 500yards from my house."

"its the sort of programme that I probably wouldn't have paid much attention to as a documentary, but was hooked as a drama. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I didn't realise HOW bad it was in the 80s... I was born in 89 so missed a lot of it, I knew it was bad but in reality its a whole awful new level. one of my best f mates is a huge ally and has been talking to me about some of the other stuff protest wise that was going on at the time. I'd like to think today the public would be remembered more for doing the right thing."

Like everything in this country now, the media (and I include social media in that) would create a divisive situation where people feel they share no common values with swathes of their own population We share so much commonality, we are more alike than we are different, yet see polar agendas as opposed to the middle ground It wouldn't be long before people were swinging the terms 'bigot' and 'snowflake' about

"Is this a series? Is it available on catch up? " Yes, it's on All4 (or whatever they're calling the Channel 4 catchup app now - I'm sure it was called "4Play" for a while!) I've just watched the 1st episode and it's great, with a fantastic soundtrack.
