I am so pleased that we have this cold snap.. It's needed to kill off as many bugs as possible and hopefully these foreign invasive buggers...

-13 even in Essex and much colder up north ...

Bring it on and freeze those hibernating slags...

It is the year 2035, all life on earth has ceased to exist. If only Essex Tom had not demanded the freezing of “hibernating slags”

The bugs live in humans who are mostly indoors together keeping warm....

To clarify.. the invasion of summer bugs will hopefully be reduced by this cold spell. I for one, will not weep if these slags freeze to death..

Worthing

Don't forget to put water and food out for the birds. I always empty the water tray and birdbath each evening. Takes ages to defrost if at all!

I will put a caveat on that. I like feeding the small birds but draw a line at greedy starlings.. they are just slags..

If only it would kill off red lily beetles here, at least. Not globally but they ruin lilies and they've stopped me from growing them and Fritillarias.
