Check the boiler pressure, and if that's reading zero, it's an easy job to top up the system. Or in this weather the classic case is the overflow pipe freezing. The boiler makes a clattering noise, and sounds like it's boiling over before cutting out. Go outside and pour a kettle of boiling water over the overflow pipe, and it should reignite. If it works, you can fab my photo's
