Ok so why do some guys find it hard to believe women in their fifties can still be fit? Get so many messages that I'm lying about my age! Age is just a number after all

I think it's a double stranded thing - on the one hand, as someone else suggested, it'll be given as kind of a compliment (albeit a backhanded one) and quite an easy one to give at that.

On the other hand, I think there's a level of misguided belief, amongst those younger, that once you hit 50 you're "old" and therefore "past it" and couldn't possibly be in the slightest bit sexual - no different from when we were in our twenties and the thought of people in their 50s having sex just didn't compute.

I think, in general, people are getting fitter these days

I made a thread the other week saying how many guys in my age group looked really good

I'm not one of them, but I admire anyone who has the tenacity to keep on top of their fitness, regardless of age

Must be a (not creative) way to break the ice. Maybe is just me, but I don’t really find “being fit at your fifties” to be rare. I mean being refered as fit/non-fit just ‘cause one’s age is not odd. At least it is not nowadays...if that makes any sense

The only wrapover I have is a very elegant dress, tatran is a cheeky mini kilt and baking.... I've other more interesting things to knead.

it’s all them fit young Cubs giving them regular sexercise

just depends on the person and life choices.

I don’t feel old, what I do know however, is I started my 50’s much fitter and more active than I started my 40’s.. hindsight is a wonderful thing as is wisdom of years...

Anyone in their 50’s will know this (if they care to admit), when we were in our 20’s & 30’s we thought 50 plus was ancient, it’s not till you arrive here you realise how wrong that theory is, the freedom you’ll find in your 50’s is amazing !
