"I think it's a very good ensemble cast to be honest - they each add their own piece to the show, and also loved seeing how each of the characters developed over the series. Think it's a toss up between Emily Hampshire as Stevie and Daniel Levy as David as to my favourite character though " Levy is fantastic in it - the range of emotions that flit across his face when he was serenaded with Simply The Best. And Stevie with that little cheer/gasp at the end of Maybe This Time made me cry because the song resonates with my wallowing core.

As a serial blubber I lost count of the times Schitts Creek moved me to tears but that performance of Maybe This Time had me in floods. As for David the amount he can say with just a look is amazing. Even Alexis moved me in the later series, hadn't particularly warmed to her early on, just saw her as the ditzy airhead that she was but her gradual development was actually a joy and testament to both the writing and Annie Murphy's acting.
