Very scary thing just been pointed out to me.

Google has recorded every city, place, and establishment that you've ever been to, with dates and times.

Very worrying if you play away!

You can turn it off so it doesn't track you.

East London

I found this out when I went to check my gmail account. I rarely use it so I wasn't checking.

I was pleasantly surprised my phone had given access to Google to record where I had been and showed me the photos I took in locations while I was there.

I checked it only this week and looked at where I had been in 2020.

One location: My house

I was chatting to Stephen Spielberg and Tom Cruise last night and they said they noticed you went to the newspaper shop twice in one day...........

I did say to my children if I ever go missing sign into my Google mail account and look for the Google maps email to see where my phone last was.

Well next time you speak to them, would you mind telling them to mind their own bloody business! I'll go to the newspaper shop 3 times a day if I want to

I didn't mean to suggest you were always in the kitchen! It was the first house room that came to mind, sorry. X

Umm I think if you log onto Google there's a Privacy tab in there somewhere. Scroll through and look for Location (or similar) and make sure it says do not track.

Also check it doesn't save your browsing history.

Just basically scroll through everything and tick do not track.

Its been tracking for a while now, you can look up which roads you took. If you don't like it, put your location off on your phone.

Near Wells

If you have a modern phone you can be tracked anywhere anytime. I can't see why anyone would want to know where Ive been though.

It is useful if you lose your phone. Your Google account will tell you where the phone last had a signal. Obviously you need to log on to another device.
