I get ya, far too much solitude.

problem is folk are to frightened to say so in fear of being called names and made to feel absolutely horrible for wanting what is natural for human beings which is other human beings.

I'll be brutally honest with you. It can be extremely difficult indeed for single guys and that's without covid. Some are here years without getting a meet. Your age will put a lot of people off, especially getting it wrong when you made your profile. Some people do that on purpose to get around message filters so people will be cynical of that even if it was a genuine mistake.

There are clubs that do cougars and cubs events, so in truth that's where you're likely to have the most "success"

I can't add to this but I would urge you OP to take this advice because you won't get much better to be honest.

Also might be worth contacting admin to see if they change the age the correct one because that would be an immediate turn off for me.

A lot of the blokes on here have absolutely no fucking idea how to speak to women. I ain't talking a little bit of no fucking idea, I'm talking whole hog. Please don't think that coz other people use derogatory language, or seemingly treat women like free prostitutes that it's ok or normal. These dudes rarely get meets. A lot of it is bravado coz they've been knocked back. Don't fall into the trap of thinking it's acceptable.

Honestly you will do. It's the way things are at the moment.

People are grieving. Some for friends and family, some for pre-covid freedoms and all the things we took for granted before. I don't think that many people are on the site to make new connections right now, a lot are simply here to check in with friends, keep an eye out for each other and pass some time without pressure.
