OK, that’s b*ll*cks. A nice, lyrical Welsh accent is amazing though. A woman from mid-Wales was chatting to me (in Welsh) in work a while back, and her voice waa heavenly.

It's well documented that that Madam Cynthia Payne preferred having Welsh girls in her pleasure palaces because, she reckoned that Welsh girls enjoyed the pleasure as much as the profit, and that always made the punters feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Sorry to disappoint. I can do a half decent impression, but I know it’s not the same.

I do enjoy the occasional compliments about the accent I get though when ringing other parts of the UK with work.

When I was a student in the north of England, I lived with Welsh guy who had a lovely accent. a policewoman came to the house one day because we’d reported a crime. She was openly swooning when he spoke and said straight out that she loved his voice. She came round a few more times off work
