I get if a couple have a couples profile and then single profiles. That makes sense but why to single ppl have more than one profile? Its creepy and weird. Is lockdown really messing with people that much that the can run multiple profiles. Maybe its me and i need to spend less time on fab and more time perfecting my pog collection. But anywho multiple profiles = weird. Rant over.

I don't think they should do it and especially if not blocked but there could be umpteen reasons for people doing it. Non of which make an ounce of difference to my life. So ...... meh..

I'm sure we've all been catfished a number of times. Wish I knew how to check for IP addresses. If you even can. Some addresses will have had dozens of accounts.

I would happy pay an extra pound in site supporters fee, towards someones salary, for fab to employ someone to check this!

Because they can then be more anonymous ie treat one person badly or too cowardly to say no thanks. Ghost delete account/leave it dormant and open absorber

i got nasty pm from some guy calling me for everything some of the language was obscene all because i put not looking for certain folk anyway i was unable to view his profile as he blocked me you guessed it I opened another account just to view it and left it at that

The thing that concerns us about this is that people could give themselves verifications which isn't really playing the game. We have seen a few in the past where people have one excellent verification from a profile thats hidden, of course it might be legitimate but it might not.

None of us know why people would want to have more than one profile and there may well be some good reasons for it, but it can have some bad aspects. Its all down to people's intentions and in a place where there are a lot of fakes and time wasters the balance of probability is that is not for a positive reason.

So they can have different personas and styles of pictures to attract different types of people. They get verified on one account then they can verify all their accounts. They might have one account their partner knows about and has access to and one they’re unaware of. Could be any reason but it would be a red flag for us.

I fully endorse this. Granny is right, could be multiple users at one address, but when dozens of accounts come from one IP...

I'm finding them easier to spot nowadays. If something is too good to be true it usually is.

You can but it comes up with a big warning saying it’s not allowed. I tried to do it on our joint profile once when we first set it up then thought better not!

My internet supplier uses a satellite system and each IP address connects up to 30 households. I only found out because I had some trouble last month using BBC iplayer, it kept on saying I wasn’t in the U.K. The engineer put me on an individual IP in the end as he said the signal was probably getting masked by someone watching Polish programmes.

This makes sense. Sometimes it can be done in a less than positive way, others it could be because of the reasons above. I don't always understand it but unless it's impacting me negatively I don't really care.

I have that too. Tried to sign up for something and it said I'm not in the UK.

I suggest you speak to your supplier - mine is a small local company and our engineer is super efficient.

There's a few I've seen locally that have multiple profiles active at once, had an incident with a guy who had 3 if not 4 profiles ok one was for him as a TV but the others were just standard male profiles which he used to stalk me and freak me out as I had blocked the ones I knew about, but he would still message I didn't know it was him for some time as different pictures on them or none at all but the profiles were all active and had been for over a year!

I've noticed with some it's very much an attention seeking thing having more than one active profile, some times it's laughable because they claim they had problems then use the exact same pictures so it's obvious that they are the same person and if that was the case why not just delete the original one instead of using both? And why use the same pictures?

In my experience it’s for those who find themselves being blocked all the time , I’ve had some really bad experiences with people on here making fake accounts , time has taught me to be a little more cynical and less forthcoming which is a great shame x

We have met people who use the forums but they don't know about this profile. It was purely by accident, they didn't use the forum when we met. Forums are friend zoned.

Sometimes they forget which account they are using and reveal themselves with their comments.

A man I was FWB with pre fab makes multiple accounts on here to view my profile (I’m guessing after initially finding me by accident on here) and then deletes (or changes his username) so I don’t cotton on it’s him. I know this because he leaves messages on my Kik account commenting on pics I have uploaded (I never respond). He then deletes his Kik account after a few days and rejoins it so he can message me.

He has never messaged me on here giving himself away, but every new message I get I now wonder if it’s him.

Nowt strange as folk.

Would it be wrong if a crossdresser had two so that they could meet and show who they are as both male and dressed?

I dress once a month maybe and its kept very secret from my day to day life.

I dont want to show my male side in pics with my dressing profile in case anyone from my day to day life sees me and finds me out....I do not want to be publicly outed.

I wont be meeting for a social coffee in the day dressed up so for this would it be OK to have both and there is no way i would meet anyone without informing them of both sides anyway so would folk think that was OK?

It's allowed.

I think the issue is if people use 2 profiles to get round blocks, harass people, post nasty shite on the forums etc.

Many people have single and couple profiles.

I once set up a couples profile with an actual fab forumite and then my singles account got swiftly blocked from the forums and apparently they said it was against fab rules to use two accounts on the forum although I could use it for shagging

I don't see why people would need two actual singles accounts though, unless perhaps they were exploring an alternative sexuality and didn't want to fully commit and I guess I could understand that. I know of several peopl here who hold an extra account or more to snoop and gossip on folk who've blocked them - that's just plain silly I think

Sometimes it's for very reasonable and acceptable purposes.

Other times it's because an intense woman has been cast aside after she fell in dick sand and struggled to cope with not being "the one" and getting blocked by a fella. So she creates another profile to spy on him. He recognises the mole on her tit tho, so plays along for a little while to fuck with her head.

Other times I imagine if one part of a couple may suspect their loving partner isn't being as cheat-free as they appear on the surface, it's to do some digging.

I know a lady on here that has a male profile too which is always hidden. She never messages anyone or posts anything. She just likes to log in and have a nosey around without having to deal with any messages.

She is not hurting anyone imo so I cannot see a problem with it.

I have a fem account for meeting guys on my own. I also have a couples account with hubby for mmf meets, he has a couples account too. I wasn't allowed to use my fem account to arrange to meet another guy for a mmf with hubby, Fab changed that account to a couples account.
