Den of Iniquity

This isnt as easy as one may think , obviously no woman wants an arrogant prick , but from my experience being a nice guy hasnt done me much good either .

A good, decent guy but not a 'nice genuine' guy if you know what I mean!

I will always pick a good guy. I find those who are usually described as bad guys such a turn off and they really don't do anything for me at all.

I think very few women like a bad guy. They do like men with personality, wit and intelligence rather than fawning sycophants though

I like a gentleman who knows how to look after himself and can take care of his partner in a protective way.

He must be intelligent, charismatic, and a tad naughty but incredibly good too. A healthy balance I guess.

The good, the bad, but what about the ugly?

This exclusion is deeply upsetting.

I shall file a complaint with the woke department.

Agreed, Jim Halpert over Hans Gruber any day.

Also, I don't know if it's a generational thing or perhaps it's the boring circles I run in but men aren't usually good or bad men, just normal humans who fuck up but also do good at times. I think the days of the leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding smoking badass might be behind us.

When I told my mum I was divorcing my first husband and why, she said

"But he's such a gentleman!"

Oh I'll overlook the compulsive lying and gambling habit and rush straight on back then.

There and to the left a bit

Like most things "attraction" related I don't think you'll find it can be categorised quite as neatly as you suggest OP and think the responses so far have borne that out.

May also depend how you define a "good guy" and a "bad guy" too as I'm sure no-one would want a "bad guy" based on the literal definition.

I think our mums are cut from the same cloth. Mine still sends me links to what an ex has accomplished and mentions whenever she runs into his mum, completely ignoring his manipulative behaviour, the cheating. Mums.

. This all happened over 40 years ago so my mum stopped long ago. She's moved on to worrying about whether our daughter is getting her husband's dinner ready for when he gets in from work .
