I don’t watch either anymore, I was a cricket Badger, but I lost interest when I stopped playing, I only watch cycling, mainly mountain stages and one day classics, can’t be doing watching pan flat stages, cause you might as well watch the last few km.

Away with the faeries

I adore both for different reasons.

Rugby appeals to the part of me wanting instant gratification (the thighs are also ok, I suppose) 0

Cricket is a gently rolling session with an occasional spike of excitement (thighs probably appreciated here, as well)

Someone once told me that I'm an expert fence-sitter. She wasn't wrong

I get really excited for the build up of Rugby...playing and watching. Plus I love a team shower.

Cricket I get excited for the banter, sun and drinks....watching is ok. Highlights are better.

I am a huge cricket fan, it’s something I’ve always enjoyed watching since I was little with my dad so it holds a special memory for me.

Rugby I’ve only watched a handful of times, it wasn’t bad but I’ve never really fully got into it.

I feel rugby has faded over the last 10 years. You don’t have titan like players anymore.

Cricket has gotten bigger with T20s etc...

. T20 has definitely got more people wanting to play cricket and I think in years to come the T20 World Cup could even be hosted in the USA as it the sort of fast pace razzmatazz that the Americans enjoy

On a rugby tour to the States once I can remember trying to explain 5day test cricket to a couple of d*unk red necks... "what you mean a single game lasts for 5 days and you aren't even guaranteed a winner?!" the quantities of alcohol didn't help but the concept of a game ending in a draw is beyond many

I love listening to cricket as background sound. The gentle ripple of applause sound is very soothing as is the commentary. Same with snooker. The gentle tap of the balls, that fella with the calming hushed tones.

Beautiful. Sometimes they have a witty commentator on and that draws you in a bit.

I really enjoy watching cricket. I got up half an hour earlier this morning to watch some before going to work.

My favourite weekend is watching a test match at Edgbaston during the day then enjoying the night life of Birmingham's gay village down the road at night.
