"Lazy"

But its not being lazy, its making twice the work. You have to wait in for your appointment, get them tested then go to the shop and choose your glasses. Where as if you just went to the shop in the first place its all there.

Simple, thats why im a woman

there are a number of visiting opticians.

lloyds dont do them but recommend a company that do.

be careful of the hard sell, they will try to oversell you spex to supplement the cost.

i know most have a £200 dispense target even if you dont need spex at that price.

so be aware...

also if you are claiming an NHS eyetest you are only entitled to a home visit if you are house bound or unable to visit an opticians practice.

If you are able to get out you will get a much more in depth eye exam in practice because of the equipment they have.

personally i would recommend asking at local opticians if they do home visits as the national visiting companies tend to have quite aggressive sales targets.

any questions just ask.... i have the knowledge.

Virtually all visiting opticians carry a range of spex to choose from when they visit and will deliver and fit them too, but these are only really for people who physically cannot get to an opticians unassited.
