I know I'm a filthy animal but I love a late night crisp sandwich. Salt n vinegar is my favourite.

Any love for the crisp sandwich and what's your flavour?

I've never quite understood the appeal of a crisp sandwich I'm afraid. But if I had to probably a nice cheese flavoured one, maybe cheese and onion. Tyrrell's perhaps.

Or you could just have a grilled cheese and call it a day

Loving these replies

It went down a treat.

Has to be salt and vinegar. But if I've ran out of salt and vinegar, then cheese and onion second choice.

Some interesting ideas, very curious about a crisp toast sandwich.

But no salad cream, what are you people thinking haha.

So something I do for a grilled cheese if I'm craving some crunch is pry it open a tad after its come out the pan/grill/press and throw in either some spring onion (goes incredible with strong cheddar for example) or some crispy onions (the kind you can get in the condiments shelves). Adds a welcome textural contrast to the bread and cheese which probably all you crisp sandwich aficionados like already
