How’s everyone coping if furloughed??

Fucks your brain I find.. doing new things, running lots, volunteer etc, what else helps?

Sorry this isn’t about shagging

South Wales

I’m furloughed to look after my kids so I’m home schooling which, I won’t lie, is mentally hard work.

The rest of the time I spend lolling about the house getting odds and ends done, with a thousand yard stare on my face.

I doff my cap to teachers!

How about you OP? How are you doing?

Can only use the site emoji’s on here which is a bit of a bummer really but let’s not dwell on that

Come March 14th I will only have worked 6 months out of 12 . I struggle with not being busy and really miss the pressure and the people. Unfortunately what I do is not allowed to be done at home under current restrictions and I may not get back till at least April. I have a wonderful marriage but have realised that the life of a housewife is not for me . I keep as busy as I can, get out as much as possible (within our 5km boundary) I've also discovered I'm good at baking. Here in the forums I find is a great distraction and I've become friendly with people I may not of pre corona. So thank you for all the entertainment

I've managed 6 days of work since March last year, the rest of the time I've been furloughed. Sadly, I work in the arts and have no idea when I will be working again...

Thankfully, I have a toddler who causes copious amounts of housework to keep me occupied.

Those timings match mine exactly, if I knew I had 6 months I’d have ploughed into a new language, especially French, been there every year since 2001 and still haven’t had the sense to learn, twat!

"Somedays it is hard to find motivation. "

Exactly, Being told what to do about it with hints and tips from the righteous is bollocks. I want to hear from those of us in it, struggling to find a way through it.

Ps my house was self built, it’s immaculate, nothing else to do there!!!

I am not furloughed but wish I was, all my meetings are getting cancelled regularly.

somewhere, someplace

I'm furloughed for a second time and I'm struggling again like the first one, my sleep pattern has gone to shit, and I'm exhausted all the time. I'm trying to homeschool two very uncooperative and very active kids who are struggling with the school work and not being able to go anywhere, I don't see anyone apart from my mum once a week to go shopping. On the whole it shit!

visiting the beach

Made redundant just before Xmas, same time as my daughter went into hospital.

So I've had my 3yo grandson since then.

I think I've had enough now!

Call me crazy but I'm glad I have managed to keep working throughout. I would really struggle if not.
