I’m thinking about getting back into gaming, I used to play years ago but I’ve been out of the loop for a long while. My last console was a PS2!

So, not trying to start an argument but, which one to go for PS5 or XboxX?

All you can go on really is which platform has the exclusives and franchises you want.

Ps5 all the way I’d say and if you’ve the cash get an Xbox pro to keeps your options open back in the day I used to have them all so could buy any game on any platform and never had to choose or get bored

As someone else further up said, have a look what exclusive series each has, and if you're planning on playing online, which ones your mates have.

I know I'm biased, but if you can, buy and build your own (or find a nerd) to build your own rig.

PC gaming, master race jokes aside... is the dogs nuts when it comes to skillcaps. this has been proven before at the Esports level, so for me, being a competitive player, I want that challenge, there is also just a wider array of games, you don't see much good console RTS for example!

out of the two you listed, I'm in the PS5 camp, but I'm firmly in the PC camp!

IF you happen to live in the south east, I'm more than happy to chat and give you any build advice, even build it for a tenner!

Agree with this too, consoles most definitely have their place but recently got a of capable of running more than minesweeper and dear me I understand it now.

Go you! well done!

Yeah, it's a case of 'don't knock it till you tried it' sort of thing.

Well, if anyone needs any build help/advice or whatever, always happy to help! both myself and my wife can build rigs

Thanks for the input guys, I doubt I’ll be taking it seriously enough to go the pc route.

I tend to go for racing games, driving/flying, some sports and first person shooters.

I was a playstation player for yrs since the 1st one, but missed out on the ps5, as I was out of the country due to work obligations, so when I got back I got a xbox one s as a stop gap till the new consoles where out, and I was amazed at the definition of the games plus all the older games I like yes ago when I used to play on a mates old xbox 360, so I did alot of research and debating with myself and decided on the xbox series X, and I'm glad I did, I can still play the games I had on my xbox one s all with smart delivery, but with ps5 u might have to pay extra to get the 4k upgrade. So after being a ps guy for numerous years I'm now definitely now a XBOX SERIES X player.
