Stupid people don’t know how stupid they are, how aware of your limitations are you, bearing in mind being aware of how stupid you are is a sign of intelligence ?!

It's better than my one on Duckworth-Lewis which got stopped halfway through.

Is that the one where people with a little bit of knowledge on a given topic go overboard with it, assuming they know everything? I'm a bit of an expert on that, you know

I think you’re branding is the problem, not the product.

Perhaps ‘Do you think you’re great but everyone else thinks you suck’ or suchlike?

Yeah sort of. It’s more that we aren’t very good at evaluating ourselves accurately, most people overestimate their abilities. They found what often happens is the people with the least ability overate themselves the most. We all have areas of incompetence we don’t recognise, we’ve all got a blind spot.

That’s the commercial option, I like to go at it from left field, may get fewer comments but I like to stick to my principles.

Come now, it makes a little hint to the thread subject (what with me being aware of my limits on knowledge of Dunning-Kruger), it includes an apology. What more could you expect on a Friday night Estra?

If you don’t know enough on a subject always wing it and pad it out with a few quotes from a French sculptor or some shit.

See what you did there!

I had to google this - which presumably means I’m not as literate/articulate as I thought I was.

I think I neither overestimate nor underestimate my abilities. I’m crap at many things, adequate at some - and damned good at a very few.

I’d say I’m confident in who I am and realistic about my talents - or lack of them.
