Sad to see that art and craft materials are now none essential items in the shops! I would think that now more than ever, art therapy is essential! Such a shame

Not a proper artist just an amateur, but recently when my kids have gone to bed I’ve started drawing things they like for them to find when they wake up, most recent efforts are a penguin, pikachu from Pokemon and Goku from Dragonball Z. The Goko drawing was put on the wall.

I'm an artist that's not done any for quite some time... and I really fancy painting nudes and sexual pics of peeps in here...

My fabbed pics list is ever increasing with all the HOT as FECK pic uploads people keep posting in here.

What do people think about the ramifications of doing that?.. as I know some people are super touchy about having themselves immortalised in ink?

I was thinking of approaching each profile AFTER I've painted them and offering it to them as a lockdown pick me up?!... I'm just guessing some people might react badly... and i don't want to slow the flow of my creative juices by getting bogged down by diplomacy issues.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Lots of people here would love a picture of them I'm sure, just ask for volunteers.

Creativity isn't something i like being dictated to me... the whole process has a different feel when you're actually inspired from within by what makes your heart sing.. don't you find?

If I asked for volunteers I'd get people who just want to be in touch for sexual purposes.. and that's not what I'm after.

In the past during previous accounts I've actually messaged people asking them if I could recreate an image they've posted in here and some reacted badly... they blocked me and didn't want to talk about it, even though in the end I respected their wishes.

So I did nothing about it.

Another quote I'm not too into is "Damned if you do damned if you don't"...

People seem to be super quick to judge others in here.

So I think I'll be courageous and just risk being alienated by some whilst following my creative bliss on the other hand... those who react negatively I'll just keep those studies as personal creative opportunities and then the rest see what they'd like to do with the results.

I'm attracted to what I'm attracted to.... I don't force this... if I did I'd end up making art pandering to other peoples wishes....

When you're passionately engaged with a subject matter creativity's a breeze.. and not a chore.. which is what happens when you draw things you don't want to... lol...hopefully you understand my stance?!

No, I get it. Then you could always just paint who you like, and ask them, after the fact, if they'd like one painted. If they react negatively, then just don't show them, and if it's positive then all good

Creativity's a strange thing...very uncontrollable for the most part I find... and when you've had a block for sometime yet you're hankering to get wrapped up in a subject matter.. well you/I kinda want to jump on that train.

I miss life drawing in inks

And I love the human body.. all it's shapes and sizes...

Tbh I don't think people, in all our shapes and sizes are celebrated enough in here... everyone's unique..

Sexual imagery seriously gets my creative juices going, especially when it's everyday people who are unabashedly being happy in their birthday suits... haha .

Just want to respect the general ethos in here is all and it's a tricky point to navigate.

I watch a lot of self development channels on youtube and one of them recently said "Creativity is something you do, not something you are"... it struck a cord...

Unless we do create it just stays in our heads...

It's defintely a proactive endeavour and accessible to anyone who wants it.

All artists get knocked backed, all have to deal with people who do not understand. You have mentioned LaLuna as one possible and she seemed to have replied favorably. So why not do a list of people. Another couple of formulites were doing hand drawn pictures of people who added themselves to the thread, you could choose who would be your current subject.

I for one wouldn't want to spend part of my soul on doing something for someone who would react negatively.

In life people will react how they react - we're all entitled to react how we want and we have to accept that... unless we want to argue till the cows come home.

I'm fine with people disagreeing with me.

My soul wants to draw sexy people from within fabland who i think are stunning as fk... whether they take that as a compliment of not will be another matter.

I already have the subject matter i want to work from... all I'm trying to do really is gauge how it'll be received in the current climate?! - I saw this thread and spontaneously asked a question as creativity is the perfect antidote to low level lockdown stress atm.

Also I'd rather not stress people out... though some stress out regardless of what's going on in the world.

Ignoring the creative call I feel whenever I rejoin fab isn't the answer either... it's been 4 years this desire's been brewing.

I'm not really ok with just plain out doing what I want... and it would be really cool to engage fabbers as it seems to be an on-going desire of mine... maybe it's got wings and it'd be a fun thing to do for me and for the people who are inspiring me.

Maybe it'd be fun group thing to do in here too I was thinking.

Just some thoughts I guess.

Looking forward to cracking on now anyways... i'll contact the chosen peeps and see how they react as really they're the ones who'll have the ultimate decision in whether it's mutually beneficial... it's already benefitting me so...

There is no such thing as a proper artist.... Art is what ever it is done by a child or adult the difference is practice but it does not matter as long as you enjoy it and how they react. I think what your doing is wonderful and they will want to start doing drawings also. I still have drawings my Son did 20 years ago x
