I think surely a lot of these phrases aren't intended to be taken literally, pretty much like anything we say, unless someone asks you for say geographical directions. Conversation is neuanced and that's the point in talking to different people surely, otherwise every conversation would be the same and quite predictable, imho

Maybe some folks styles just aren't to others taste, idk?

It means "your profile tells me a lot about you". I normally take it as a bad thing, as it tends to be said with a hint of shittiness. "

I see it followed with compliments but if felt confusing because of the phrase used!

Likeminded - Not easy to judge when you're looking at a scant profile I'd agree. However when someone has taken time to explain in detail what they're looking for it ought to be quite clear whether they're looking for the same things and therefore likeminded.
