Who would find you?

I work for myself and alone, my few friends are the type that we don't speak for months and I live alone with no family. My bills are paid by DD so until the money ran out nobody would come looking.

Scary shit.

I see my kids fortnightly so my ex would eventually get concerned and call the authorities, also my work mates know I live alone and if I didn’t sign in (working from home currently) would also contact someone.

So nobody to give me CPR but plenty who would notice I wasn’t around.

It's funny but we were just talking about this in relation to my parents. The only way to keep sane where they're concerned is to employ gallows humour and we were wondering how long it would take my father to notice that my mum had died if it happened in the day time.

I had that conversation with my sister. We came to the conclusion that Dad would notice if Mum went first, because she makes him tea and lunch.

Mum probably wouldn't notice if Dad went until she either ran out of mugs or plates or couldn't find a space to put the mug or plate down in front of him.

Hmmm I actually had a thought of this a while again and I though a number of days/possibly week or so...I live with my sister but we generally keep to ourselves. If she needs me she usually texts me and if I didn't answer she'd assume I was fine.

My family are used to me not being in contact and a lot of my friends too...I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people woops!

Apart from that it would be family...probably my kids.

I think they'd hate it if I was found by a stranger.

But..they are older so as traumatic as that would be I'd imagine it would be worse for someone much younger.

Part of it made me chuckle. I have morbid sense of humour.

I get it would be less distressing possibly. Depending on the cause of death. Body decay. Odour. Would you prefer that?

No one really.

I'd be found like an acquaintance was found a few years ago.

Juicy and covered in flies.

I guess my daughter ( 250 miles away ) would eventually phone my friend, who would make a grisly discovery.

My friend calls often tho ..... So after a few hours of me not answering texts he'd beat the door and then call the police.

Either way ....... im already dead whoever gets there.

One of my friends (who is a policeman) was the first to find a lad who died mid wank

His Mum had called them as she hadn't heard from him in a couple of days

Thankfully, he'd asked her to wait downstairs whilst he went up
