Tell people on the forums why it is when couples become popular and both parties are equally respected that should a speration occur but a profile remains the male of the couple becomes instantly outcast.

He was the same man yesterday with many friends and popular in messages. Why today is he now ostricised, outcast, not worth the time to say hello to.

People are shallow, very shallow with alarmingly short memories.

Curious... What's the reasons to it.

I'm not sure that's the case at all, but I have no idea as the closest I've come to that is my ex and myself splitting.

He left the site to concentrate on his marriage when lockdown part 1 revealed the full truth (yes, you read that right) and I remained.

When couples split people often take sides because it's difficult to stay friends with both.

Could it come down to things you can't see perhaps?

There are so many variables and I think it will likely come down to the individual relationship.

I've had relationships that have ended and friends have said things like "I know you're sad, but he wasn't good for your you deserved so much more, I was only pleasant to him for your sake" and suchlike.

Also, a split can be awkward on friends too, they might be wary of saying the wrong thing or upsetting.

They may be thinking the right thing to do is give some space.

As I say, there are loads of invisible reasons, not all of them bad.

All the friendships I have with couples there is usually one member of the couple I am more friendly with than the other. Sometimes it is the man sometimes it is the Sian and on occasion it’s fairly balanced. On the swinging scene I think the attraction factor can make that even more stark. As Princess Peach said sometimes people are friendly with the partner just because they are with you but don’t have any loyalty to them.

Maybe they believe any veris should be credited as a single and see it as a bit deceptive having couples veris on a singles profile? Fair point. I don't think profiles should be able to be changed, new ones should be started if people couple up or separate. It makes an absolute joke of the verification system.

I've had it many years ago when I was with an ex on here, where we had a social, all seemed to get on but they were ultimately really only interested in me and tolerated him so to speak as a means to an end and it came to light later on
