Dolled up!

Catthorpe

Is it just me or are people dolled up out and about? Supermarkets, parks and the local cut (canal). Lockdown is in full 'swing' and people want to feel good about themselves,do you get 'dolled up for mundane jaunts that you'd never think about otherwise? Lidl seems to be the place at the mo to get the heels on and strutt ya stuff, the 'parfume' is definitely on display in that place.

We were talking about this at work and the consensus was; if there was an opportunity to dress up at all for whatever mundane reason to leave the house then do it lol. Why not, nothing is out of bounds at the moment

I am desperate for an excuse to get dressed up but also kind of enjoying the invisibility of no makeup, a mask, specs and bobble hat.

This is me tbh. I like the mask because it means I don't need to make much of an effort

Yep make up and hair done, a dress sometimes to go to the local supermarket. Fed up of feeling dowdy and not a chance to feel sexy

I generally like to be dressed in heeled boots, tight shinny jeans and cleavage top with full makeup. My dentist did comment recently at my appointment that I was "very dressed up for 9am" Lol. I do miss getting dressed up going out with friends so I guess I'm dressing up for more random places these days. Mrs x

I’m concentrating on making my eyes up nicely. Always choose something to wear that’ll make me feel good and a squirt of my fave perfume....

Then I’m good to go to the supermarket.

I have noticed a lot more people looking nowadays. I guess there’s a lot of people like me who really miss contact and fun.

I'm a bloke...dressing up for me is slapping on a bit of aftershave!

In extreme dress up times, it would need to be a wedding, a funeral or a job interview!

"I’m concentrating on making my eyes up nicely..."

OMG Rachel...

Because I normally wear glasses, which steams up a fuck in the shops...

It's been like fucking dominos getting ready to Tesco's...

Let's wear contacts, so glasses don't steam up...

While I've got contacts, false lashes are nice... Yes...

Oh wait, a little bit of eye shadow won't go amiss...

Mmmm, that looks good, some eye liner then...

A touch of mascara...

I get my best on every Sunday as that used to be pub day. Its the only day I shave too, use moisturiser, trim my nails and burn the hair off my ears and trim the snot holder hair.

Derby

Sat there earlier and looked down at myself and didn't see either a dressing gown or dark blue work gear and it threw me to have normal everyday clothes on.

Fucking hell do I need a night out glammed up

Totally this... Vintage princess style in my head but mask, scarf, spex and bright bobble hat hide a multitude of sins

I take mine out in the dead of night in just my boxer shorts. Then I raid everyone else's half empty bins and stash my excess rubbish in Thiers. Ha ha

Lol. I was just doing eyes but then I realised there were a few seconds where I removed my mask by the car where I could reveal myself in a moment of normality.

Bright red lippy is my choice now. Gone are those neutral tones!
