How do you manage your mail?

Question for the women out there (because you'll get 100s of messages in minutes).

How do you manage your mail?

I ask because I find that even if I'm in the middle of a conversation and for whatever reason either us go offline it's unlikely that i'll get another reply.

It's hard to know if this is because I'm lost in amongst the 100s of others or if it's genuinely just a dead end..

Advice would be much appreciated, not sure what the script is!

We’ll message friends back first then work through the rest as and when.

Wouldn’t stress if someone gets annoyed that you haven’t replied quickly enough, everyone has a life outside of fab

I'm not a woman but I've found that hiring a secretary and an assistant helps me to handle the hundreds of daily messages that come my way

I sometimes like to keep my 1 message active for about 5 minutes, though if I get two I sometimes just cry a little joyful tear. Refocus then start with older message and work my way slowly through. Lmao!

Can you prioritise members like that so they appear at the top? Or by prioritise do you mean hunt through your inbox? Ha

Not stressing at all but idk if it's like wait a day, week or just accept your mail is lost

Fair haha, as I said I generally just leave it because either way no skin off my.. but I was curious as you see a number of people complaining about the amount of messages etc so wasn't sure..

A very well run profile ie filters on, says don't message on profile (lots of guys do actually read them) and when I'm not online, don't have the time and/or the inclination I hide it! Simples really ... means I easily answer all my messages!

Interesting. Our profile clearly states what we do and don't want yet 9/10 of the messages we get ignore it. We also get quite a few messages from bi/bi-curious guys and we can't filter them out.

You're a really nice person if that's the case and I'm sure we all appreciate it. I do feel sorry for you though and I'm grateful to be a guy on here who doesn't have to deal with that lol

Manage isn't something I do.

I tend to only read messages regarding forum stuff, and sometimes I don't check my inbox from one week to the next.

I can be chatting to someone one day and then not look again.

If it upsets them it's unfortunately as I quite clearly state I don't read messages very often.

Fair enough but I was more meaning that if you're in the middle of a convo already, wasn't sure if it was general to resend the message at a later stage or say farewell to that mail lol

I have message filters on. Sadly you can't filter by location (this would be a huge help).

I'll scan through and instantly delete messages from those out of my area and those who haven't attached face pics. I'll read through any other's and reply to those who match what I'm looking for on my profile. The majority of people who message me don't bother to read my profile prior to messaging, therefore I don't bother replying.

It's easy enough to manage messages from those you are chatting to. I don't chat to a great deal of people, so the conversations are always in "sent" or "saved".

I have filters in place to cut down on messages, I try to reply to any well written message even if it's a polite no thank you, the hi, how are you messages or no face pics (in profile or 1st message) tend to get ignored if I'm honest.

I don't get bombarded though x

I know it can happen that messages get lost, but if it happened a couple of times I'd take it as a hint.

Literally work from bottom to top, and delete as i reply. Those That have absolutely no info or are crude just get replied. That way by the time I get to the top, the ones who are online have generally just replied and the circle gets smaller. Until there’s none left or I’ve had enough. Gold supporters feature where you can see all previous messages in a convo (grouped mailbox) makes it a lot easier x

About all I do is delete the ones I've replied to in my inbox, delete those that with the opening line make me go ick. And try and slowly work my way through the other, it's hard bloody work sometimes though

We used to reply to every message - that soon stopped when even a polite no thanks was somehow misinterpreted as course I'll drop my pants - when are you coming around.

Nowadays replies are only sent to people that can put a bit of effort in & that genuinely we feel we may something in common with or we've chatted with from the forums and couple of people we've met that we've kept in contact with

All others are deleted or left unread until I have a mass clear out
