"On a break at work. After discussing with another nurse about the patients we have been moving, lifting and caring for. We got into body shapes. And whilst every human have their merits we all have certain criteria we don’t find AS attractive. What’s yours. We have a great mutual friend. She is very sexy. But says she suffers because she is too thin. Yes she is a stick. Would love some curves. Is it wrong that we judge. But we will. And do. If you had the choice of thin or curvy which would you pick. And why. ?" As a general rule I would say curvy. I do like a lady that's got shape and curves. However, I've also seen plenty of women who have very little shape but are stunning still. I think a person's shape needs to suit how they look, if that makes sense.

"Who gives a fuck? All of the men on here will say curvey, all of the women will agree and all of the ‘sticks’ will be shamed for not being over weight and curvey. These posts benefit no one, you’re just making people feel bad. " Don’t think this posts something you want to partake in. Personal preference. Chill

"Really...hate...that word. Stick. Im thin and i think im sexy enough as i am. I dont need anymore weight on me than i have. Im healthy. Your friend has just had her confidence battered by the world's obsession with "Thicc" women. Its just media and fashion bashing a womans shape...same in the 60's where stick thin ruled. Women should be proud of what they are" Her confidence rarely gets shattered or knocked. She is not short of play mates. The post is about opinions and thankfully we can have them still. I never said she was not as attractive. It’s to see what others think.

Everybody has a choice Thankfully we can still have opinions.

"There will always be people who find faults with your body shape, sure everyone has preferences, but we need to be careful when labelling people. Getting people to choose a body type only makes the ones not chosen feel worse. It is wrong to judge and I have never understood how people comment so openly about other people's weight. We are all different shapes, sizes and should embrace that." Agreed. We are not judging. Just asking.

"You called your friend.... a stick..... We did. Her words. She is allowed an opinion. " Even in a thin woman, you will find that the waist:hip ratio will most likely be below 0.8 and thus curvy still

"What is normal ??" There is no such thing as normal. That’s our point. We all have preferences. We are all different. But people have ideas and that’s our point in this post. To discuss. To see what others think.

"For me it’s not about body shape. It’s about body confidence, personally I have no ‘preference’. All women should have the confidence that men or other women are going to shame their shape. Everyone is different, no 2 bodies are the same. Be positive, not negative x" The key is to be happy with who you are.

"Is it wrong that we judge. If you had the choice of thin or curvy which would you pick. And why. ?" It's not wrong, we all judge people on a daily basis based on our personal preference, from music to fashion to the food they like. If judging wasn't so popular gossip magazines, tabloids, opinion shows and bear bating ones like Jeremy Kyle or Jerry Springer would be a thing of the past. The issue is do you treat them differently because of the choices they make that differ to your own? Personally, we have no preference in body shape or size. Being bigger anyway we are not going to be hypocritical. We find people attractive on a number of points, attitude being number 1. It then comes down to do we share common ground and interests. A person's physicality only comes into it regarding their ability to do the things we want them to do.

I have opinions/preferences but prefer never to give them, my life is run how I like it and that really doesn't effect others ... "It's fine to have a preference, but why do these preference threads always have to shame or talk about people in a negative light? Why call someone a stick because they are slim? How is stick a pleasant word to be described as? Why imply someone isn't normal because they aren't curvy or small? Damn. I completely understand why people are offended. " They use the word stick. We were asking as it’s a genuine concern of hers. But as usual people get on high horses.
