Could have written this thread ourselves.

Well in our case we’ve become more self sufficient and usually when we would set on a tradesman to do certain jobs male half has taken the hands on approach and learnt new skills by doing diy jobs around the house himself which has saved us money.

We value the smaller things in life more like going for a walk and will make sure we invest time in ourselves in the future.
