Do many others have issues with people blocking/ghosting you?

all going well messages back and forth then they just block you.

Personally I don't see that as ghosting tho that's just someone who isn't interested anymore. Ghosting to me is if someone arranges a meet and doesn't show or stops all communication on the day of the meet. "
I get all of that its just very odd given they are really keen and then just block you.

Not blocking, they just stop chatting. I put it down to:

a) Most women probably find it hard to keep track of all the messages they get, even the decent ones.

b) I'm a boring bastard.

I agree with reason A here but also some dont have the time to reply that often and can get sidetracked and simply forget to reply.

Im guilty of this quite a bit

If someone has BLOCKED you, they will have a reason. While it would be nice to know, the takeaway is the block. However, I'm one of those people who would like to know why, not least if it indicates an aspect of behaviour or character that I need to address.

But ghosting, just going silent on you? That's different. With the block button, you know it's done. With ghosting, you're just left to wait, wonder, and draw your own conclusions.

People exist behind profiles, and I think deserve an explanation on why. But I respect that others have different views. For me, the level of pain caused by ghosting / blocking would range from 0 (just sent a message and got blocked) to 10 (shared many great times together but then they just fucked off).

Not blocking or ghosting

More the natural fade. After 3 days for chat and you both realise that conversation is not flowing so onto the next one, polite small replies that take longer and longer in time until it stops

Ghosting kind of requires some form of indepth communication prior to the "disappearance. Followed by a sudden and abrupt end with all forms of communication ceased without explaination.

The still figuring things out stage of messaging is a form. Of ghosting yes, but not fully. It was not fully formed interest, nothing was concrete and set.

Though that does not automatically mean you were ghosted, there are reasons that a response could be very slow and delayed. Some of the ladies I chat to on here may not respond to me for weeks, but the convo still flows.

Yeah it's shitty that no indication was given, nor explanation but that's the way of the Internet unfortunately. The anonymity, just like bullying, enables such lack of manners and respect.

If you’ve only spoke on here and haven’t met them, that’s not ghosting.
