Afternoon everyone, hope you had a fun weekend filled with sex! Am contemplating shaving my head and wanted to get your thoughts on the bald look

As hair/head goes, I like the look of bald or crew cut men.

Just don't do the comb-over.

A full head of hair is a deal breaker for me personally.

I did it about 5 years ago and instantly made me look younger. If you are balding I think it’s a good look. Embrace your inner coot

Totally agree. Very liberating and I love having it stroked, as well.

My hairline started to retreat years ago so what’s left just had a go. What I save on shampoo I spend on razors but, like the advert says, I’m worth it.

It depends on the person, but it certainly wouldn't put me off of someone that I found attractive.

Love a bald or close shaved head, love to stroke my husbands while he drifts off to sleep...

Go for it, take some time to get used to it, but it soon grows back either way.

Been shaved or close cut for a long time. Neat, clean and cheap ! Some women love it (especially the feel), some women hate it, most have no strong feelings if you’re happy and confident in yourself. So just like every other physical feature, really.

My hair has always been a No1, since my military days..even up to today. It totally suits my lifestyle and I cannot see myself standing in front of a mirror for hours sorting out my quif. I now alternate between shaven and a No1, but am shaven most the time. Also saves me a fortune in barber costs, shampoo and conditioners.

"Afternoon everyone, hope you had a fun weekend filled with sex! Am contemplating shaving my head and wanted to get your thoughts on the bald look"

I'd ask your partner, she's the one that has to live with it. Bald doesn't suit everyone

I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a female partner’s hair except to say how good it looked. It’s a braver man than me who’d say, ‘That doesn’t suit you’ !

Been running the clippers over mine for about 18 years now.

Not that I was balding or anything, just easier and quicker to maintain

My name is Dave, and I'm a bald man.

Look, you can come on here and ask any "Do men / women like xyz" question. Some will, some won't, irrespective of what it is.

Once baldness entered my life, you find your hairstyle choices are reduced, especially if dignity plays any part in your personal grooming. For a lot of reasons, my coping strategy was to shave my head. It's quick, easy, and is no bother at all. As to wether or not it suits me, all I can say is its better than the other options.

Embrace the bad.

My advice is go for it! I did it about 6 months ago (0.5 all over). Makes me look younger and all my work colleagues say it suits me / that I look so much better!

FairPlay it was a hard decision to do it but no looking back! Ohhhh and saves money on going to the barbers too!!

If its receding, patchy or going thin. Just shave it off bud.

Who gives a fuck what people think! It takes about a week of getting used to but then it feels the norm.

Some women won't like it but fuckem. Strangers will judge you too based on your looks but fuckem too .

Go for it

I have a full head of hair which I clip short or it would take over the World. However, if I were balding significantly, I would shave the lot off.

Best thing i did , get a 3 head shaver ( mine was from Aldi ) go over it once a week followed by a razor after foaming head , gives you smooth finish , I don’t miss visits to barber

Better to shave than have small patches of hair which I think looks worse.

I wear cochlear implants and as they are held on by magnets it was easier to shave my head. So I never had mu h choice

I’ve shaved mine smooth every week for the last 30 years.

Wouldn’t change now if I could. Those that knew me with hair say they prefer me without..

Becky loves it so that’s the main thing.

I like shaved/closely shaved heads for men who are follicly challenged. Much better than hanging on to sparse strands.

Got to be no guard ... maybe even try the wet shave after that. It might not suit you but it will grow in a few days. I clip my own at 0 ... wet shave very occasionally but it's not that easy doing it yourself. I grew a beard because I hated shaving.

I wet shave my head. I've recently started using shaving oil rather than gel or foam (foam is shite) and enjoy it. I actually find wet shaving my head simple. As you're shaving it all off, you can do it by touch and in the dark.

I've been shaving my head for years, and haven't gone back. I think it shows a certain confidence. You can experiment with facial hair if you need some.

My head as been bald for around 30 years recently I was in hospital with bad Covid!!

Didn’t have the energy or the strength to shave my head also didn’t take my shaving stuff in

So after 3 weeks of being in hospital my hair grew!! not long but fairly long and the overwhelming opinion was shave it back off from family members and friends

So obviously it was shaved off I have been told it makes me look younger so that will do me

Its good to hear positive feedback ... I was once the only shaven headed member of the audience at a holly mcnish poetry gig in Manchester and she recited a poem which suggested all white working class men with shaven heads were racist right wingers. I was sat left of centre but still felt uncomfortable
