Clearly not single men. 95 percent don't

Women are pretty good at it. Maybe 50/50 and couples, similar assuming its not the male half messaging.

I read every profile of someone I’m going to message to see if it’s worth my while and to see if there are a anything that I can say as a springboard for chat. Genuinely baffled by anyone that won’t read a profile. Seems like a waste of time

Sadly not.

Very few men seem to read profiles, regardless of how genuine they are.

Most of the messages I receive are from men assuming that I might meet them. A very quick look at my profile shows that I am only meeting ladies... when it's safe to do so.

Those are the figures from the 2019 data set, the analysis of 2020 is still ongoing. Using the larger samples available over the ten year period 2009-2019, the confidence level can be narrowed to the 0.5% interval, revealing:

Women 36.5%

Men 18.0%

Couples MF 32.5%, MM 29.0%, FF 34.5%

TV/TS 41.0% (pre-surgery 39.5%, post-surgery 44%)

I would class those men as not genuine and time wasters, no ?

It may well be true that most people don’t read profiles but those that do, and respond where appropriate, are what I would call genuine whether male, female or couples.

No way of knowing the split betwen men/ women/ couples/ TV's due to stealth mode.

I'd say the majority do actually read profiles. I can get over 100 views a day but only 1 or 2 messages.
