Under the Duvet

Has anyone purchased a new bed during lockdown and if so what were your criteria.

I really need a new bed but feel strange buying without bouncing.

Any recommendations?

I've also used a company called Mattressman in the past

They were way cheaper than the go to brands like Dreams & Bensons

The mattress is still in nightly use 5 years on

The one before that, I had for about 14 years, so take no notice of this 'change every 8 years' bollocks

I wouldnt always got to do the bounce test on a bed.

Just as much as I like to know whats its made of as well.

Not a lover of divans id rather have a proper frame bed.

Wirral

I bought a new mattress. I am a side sleeper so like a very firm mattress, and I did quite a lot of research and asked a lot of friends.

I eventually just thought fuck it, my old one was so battered that anything was an improvement.

Very pleased with the one I opted for, all ended happily. I'm still not sleeping but I'm enjoying my insomnia in far more comfort.

Yeah current one is 13 years old but a bit scuzzy. So after decorating the room time for change.

?

I bought a new mattress...went on Amazon reviews, and it came with a 100 day no quibble return policy, but it's really comfy so I'm keeping it.

Depends what you want to spend. I spent quite a bit on mine given the proportion of my life I spend asleep (and doing other things on it!!). The base is also important sometimes as it “cooperates” with the mattess. I’ve had a Milbrook in the past and a currently have a Vispring. Both are very good. The a Vispring has been described as a “magic bed” by one lady

I did. I transformed my bedroom and bought a very imposing wingback bed.

Maldon and Peterborough

Mattress wise i tend,to go for the more pockets/springs it has the better it is. Over 3000 preferably.
