I agree - The streaming option is not reliable enough.

Nothing worse than watching all the Scottish tries being interrupted by a spinning dial while my internet struggles...

My understanding is the French will not join in due to their fear of COVID, thus a full Nations competition will not go ahead

Growing up and even now the only Rugby I watch are the 5 Nations now 6 Nations and the World Cup having the fans and players belting out their national anthems you can see the pride and passion. This years 6 Nation will be different with no fans but still something to look forward to.Just a shame the pubs are shut as there is a lady here on Fabs in London that arranges a 6 Nations social.

The way things are going pay walls are the least of our problems. I'm just waiting for someone to suggest socially distant scrummaging, lineouts, rucks and mauls... lol

I thought Scotland and Wales home 6 nations games cannot go behind the paywall as they are on their country’s “crown jewels” list of sporting events....

So there will be some.... I wonder if the bbc for example will bid with rte for Ireland’s home games.....

So at best a sky sports would only get the french, Italian and English games..... and I don’t think sky would be that interested in Italy’s home tv rights

The ffr doesn’t really have a leg to stand on since the french govt refused to give rugby an exemption so they had to cancel all the European club games.....

What you saying Fabio?

You reckon that’s what’ll happen?

I reckon the french side would revel in playing five away games, they’re that good currently I do think they’d win at least four.

Well since the lions tour looks like a long shot... there was talk of bringing it here and let the saffers quarantine here before a potential 4 test series (1 in each country..... and let them play the countries A teams for midweek warm ups)

10 game tour....... those 8 plus a barbarians game and queens XV...... I think that would work

All the french government have allowed at the moment is for the french team to travel to Italy for game 1..... but everything else is going to be up in the air...

I think they will start... but you would have to hold a gun to my head if you asked me if they are going to finish....

Remember squads this year are limited to 28 players... no players will be allowed in to cover injuries.... if a squad has 1 or 2 cases before a game, I think everyone is going to get jittery

Might be wrong on this, and as I hate the idea of the rugby banter being tainted by political chatter, I'll not stay too long on this - broadcasting is reserved to Westminster. March 2020 DCMS select committee recommended 6N be added to the Crown Jewels list. Government rejected the motion.

I was so looking forward to this being the start of the run towards the lions tour... but I a feeling “meh” about it all.....

Looks like the lions tour is going to be behind closed doors if it takes place... although there have been two wild suggestions to play the series here if you could get crowds in... or the Australia rugby union have offered to hold the series there... although no fans from either could travel, there are enough lions and saffers in oz to make it work crowd wise.... also both teams would need to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in oz...

I read about the oz idea this morning and think it makes sense.

As you said, plenty of fans from both camps in oz and already well established as a leading authority on how to deal with major sporting events in the current climate.

I love watching early morning test rugby too, great excuse to crack open a tinny before 9am!
