I've always said this since day one it doesn't matter what day it is, it doesn't matter what night it is, make sure that you are kind to one another even though you may not like that person you don't know what they're going through like they don't know what you're going through

nice sentiment OP, and to be honest the vast vast majority of people on here are fantastic, kind, friendly & up for a laugh. only a couple of people I've found so far have been anything other than great!

I believe the crazy German dance music legend Scooter said it best.

"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice"

He also had respect the man in the ice cream van

Thanks.

I’d completely forgotten.

It’s great that people like you are around to constantly remind me how to act.

.

I'd rather people weren't a dick.

Don't be a false kind if the very thought of them makes your teeth itch but also, don't be a dick to them.

How was I unkind?

I’ve thanked him for reminding me to be kind.

That couldn’t be more kind.

You’re being unkind by accusing me of being unkind.

You’re now being particularly unkind to me

Shagging me one day, will be a good apology

Nobody has ever been unkind to me on the furom.

I have very often been ignored.

Totally, whole-heartedly support the idea - kindness cost very little and can achieve so much. Perhaps we are more mindful of our actions, our words right now because of the pandemic, the lockdown, the awareness of other people's misery. Whatever it is, it is good to see that people are friendlier for example when out walking their dogs.

Are you the kind of person who is kind? Or are you kind enough to pay in kind?

Or are you merely, as they say in German, das kind?

The message wears thin when you start weekly threads about it, I don’t want people I don’t know to be kind to me on a daily basis, I prefer people not to leave a footprint, I prefer most interacts to be neutral, telling people to be kind doesn’t mean anything, it’s got to come from a place where they want to, not cause someone told them to, otherwise it’s just saccharine with no substance. Just cause you haven’t been kind to someone, doesn’t mean you’ve been unkind, there’s a whole spectrum in between.
