My orgasms have gone

Partly a venting post, partly hoping that some others can relate.

Doctor recently increased my antipsychotic medication because I was seeing a drastic increase in episodes. It worked and I feel better in myself, but I have completely lost the ability to have an orgasm.

I'm not particularly horny but I like to masturbate before bed because it helps me sleep. The last three nights... nothing.

Hopefully it will improve as my body adjusts to the increased dose but, really? I hate mental health issues.

Cue offers of accepting that as a challenge

But seriously, hope you recover soon and all the best

I'm on citalopram (anti depressant) and found if I time them right im ok. So I take mine last thing at night and usually play when alone in the morning. But yes I had the same problem in the first 6 weeks, which was very frustrating. My boyfriend is on sertraline and is off sex completely, again hopefully that'll be temporary!

It's a known side effect unfortunately but if you're feeling the benefit overall that's great

I didnt find symptoms changing beyond adjustment period (SSRI meds) so around 6 to 8 weeks. I am sorry its messing with your sexual needs and sleep. That must be really tough. X

Side effects not symptoms. I meant once it settled they remained the same.
