Grrr....why is it they always appear when we have a little bit of sunshine. Can't sit outside now, they are everywhere ...rant over

Its mating time as the males swarm for the females as they emerge. The annual explosion tends to takes place in the UK in mid or late summer, usually towards the end of July but is usually within a 2 week period.

I've always thought it was a hot day in August.

They go up the side of my house ...... Zillions of them.

If I see them I get the hose pipe out. I should leave them but for some reason it creeps me out thinking that a queen will get in and make a nest.

I feel bad (ish) when they are drowned and on the floor.

As soon as the temperature / humidity etc are right up they go ..

I get large Dragonflies coming opver from the lakes to catch the flying ants. Just amazing to watch.

Mother Nature is a clever lady ..
