School Dinners 2

Why don't they make school dinners on the school premises like they used to? Then resources such as money can be more closely monitored. Nutrition value of food too. There must be lots of restaurant and cafe personnel available. If a supply of the folding stuff is issued to me I will organise it.

I think space has a part to play in this too. One of my children's schools cooked on site, the others contract out but they have smaller sites.

But mostly money, since education became a business & since everything is examined on cost, not value...that’s what you get . Extract most profit from everything, staff & materials are highest costs, so shit wages & shit food.

If a local school is cooking for many others my opinion is the school thats cooking should be able to cater for some of the local schools.

no need to farm it out just arrange transport of the food to other schools.

as goes for costs

insurance, employing staff, food,
